Trama:
Manji è un abile rōnin che ha compiuto l'omicidio di cento samurai e ricercato così dai soldati dello shōgun. Lo spadaccino però è infestato dal verme kessenchu, un parassita che vive in simbiosi col suo corpo e che blocca il naturale processo di decadimento del corpo ed ha inoltre la capacità di rigenerare qualunque tipo di ferita inflitta al corpo dell'ospite. Per liberarsi da questa maledizione Manji deve uccidere mille uomini che hanno compiuto atti criminali.
